Clubhouse

The Ganton Clubhouse boasts first-class facilities with a warm welcome from the friendly staff. The present Clubhouse was built in 1909, replaced the original pavilion.

History

A number of interesting items and photographs concerning the history of Ganton Golf Club are on display. These depict the International and National events that have been hosted by the Club and also include montages featuring Harry Vardon’s life at Ganton.

Old photographs of the course and the original clubhouse may be viewed, together with record scorecards from the past. An interesting item is ‘How to play the Course’ as instructed by Ted Ray (Ganton Professional 1903 to 1912).

Atmosphere

There are three comfortable well-appointed lounges, a well stocked bar and a dining room with seating for 60 people. The extensive Terrace overlooking the 18th green has wonderful views across the golf course to the escarpment of the Yorkshire Wolds.

The Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Locker Rooms, that include excellent shower and washroom facilities are situated at opposite ends of the Clubhouse.

These facilities are under the watchful care of the Caddiemaster Paul Harrison. Tel: 01944 712804. The Secretary’s Office, Professional’s Shop and the Caddiemaster are adjacent to the entrance to the Gentlemen’s Locker Room.
